A Quick Guide to Mindanao’s finest beach—Mati Davao, Oriental

Fine White Sand. Clear Emerald Water .Great People. You will definitely love the Island Life in Mati City.

Getting There:

From Cagayan de Oro City
Take a bus bound to Davao City the regular fare is about Php 600.00
From Ecoland Bus Terminal in Davao City, you can either ride a Van or a Bus:
Van Fare: Php 230.00 -250.00, travel time is 3-4 hours
Bus Fare: Php 200.00- 220.00, travel time is 5-6 hous

Getting Around Mati City:
There are tricycles and habal-habal available around the place that would take you to your desired destination.

Must Visit:
Dahican Beach- A 7-kilometer stretch of white sand with clear emerald water where you would really enjoy surfing and skim boarding in the place. Surf board rental (Php 500) and Skim Board rental (Php200).

The Sleeping Dinosaur- Located at Badas Point in Barangay Dawan, you could see the stunning overlooking view of a sleeping dinosaur-shaped island just along the side of the highway.

Other must-do and must-see activities in Mati:

1. Ultralight Plane Ride (2,500 with video for 15 minutes or 2,300 without the video)
2. Subangan Museum (Entrance Fee Php 50.00)
3. Bay Walk
4. Pangyan Falls
5. Trek along the trails of The Sleeping Dinosaur
