Back to Steemit after 2 years - My re-introduction

Hello and Namaste!

I am back on steemit after 2 years of being inactive. Life took over me and a lot of beautiful experiences and growth happened in the time I have been away. In the upcoming days and months, I would like to share some amazing things with the steemit community.

Just to introduce myself again, I am Parth Upadhyaya, a 26-year-old professional mountaineer from Mumbai, India. I have been climbing mountains since I was 15 years of age. Since my first trek, climbing mount Everest has been the focus point in my life. It took me 9 years of dedicated preparation and it was all worth it. On 23rd May 2019 I climbed Mount Everest and became the youngest person from Mumbai to climb Mount Everest. It was a journey of a lifetime.

Apart from Everest, I have done over 800 treks spanning across India, Nepal and Tibet.

Apart from that, I am also a motivational speaker. If there is anything I like after climbing mountains, it is sharing my story, my experiences and my learnings with people. I have spoken in over 200 different places so far.

Ever since I started climbing mountains, I had realized that there is a serious lack of awareness about mountaineering, especially in India. So it’s my mission and vision in this life to see mountaineering as a well-accepted and a developed sport in India. For that to happen, I am actively making YouTube videos and I am trying to reach out to the masses with full intensity and trying to explain the beauty and essence of mountaineering in a way that everyone can understand.
