Prague Is Overrated

I had heard a lot about how beautiful Prague was before I went on my solo Eurotrip in 2013. Of course I had to put it on my list of cities to visit. It was indeed beautiful... but only in Old Town, Lesser Town and the Castle which are in the city centre. It was also jam packed with tourists, especially in the day.

Stray further from the centre and you'll start seeing less of those colourful houses and more dreary, grey ones. It gets rather depressing especially on a cloudy day.

Is it worth a visit? Definitely for a few days before making your way to another city in the summer and probably around Christmas time, but not as a standalone destination to and from your home country, unless you live a couple of hours away.
