2. Consume sandwiches and straight chill at Brooklyn Crab. This three-story al fresco seafood shack in Red Hook has become our house away from home, on weekends. We head to the back garden, which has tables for adults plus sandboxes, jungle fitness centers and mini golf for kids. Moms and dads can consume beers and consume crab rolls, while kids filth around. Its incredible. Last weekend, Anton played his very first game of cornhole!

3. View a motion picture at Nitehawk. One Saturday afternoon, I took myself on a solo date to see the film Frances Ha. I biked to Nitehawk in Williamsburg, which I presumed was a routine theatre, however then I saw that each seat had a table and menu. You might buy food and drinks throughout the film! I wound up getting mac n cheese and kicking back. They also have a brunch series for lazy Sundays.

4. Meet for supper at Fort Defiance. This Red Hook restaurant has been our go-to date area this summertime. Its little and dynamic, and they toss open the front windows on warm evenings. Alex advises the hangar steak, and I enjoy love their lentil soup (of all things! I swear its fantastic) and asparagus salad with a fried egg.

5. Use Janes Carousel. Ive composed about the Dumbo carousel before, however it has actually become such a substantial part of our lives! We address least once a week, and the boys adore riding the horses and throwing rocks into the river. Such a lovely place for kids and grownups. (P.S. 6. Get the meatballs at Frankies Spuntino. Frankies reveals up on every Brooklyn guide, and theres a good reason: Their meatballs! Likewise, their cavatelli with sausage, brown butter and sage. Likewise, their ricotta crostini. The waits get outrageous at night, so we generally go for lunch. You can being in their pretty restaurant or in the breezy back garden. 7. Go on flights at Coney Island. Our little people turned out over the trips at the Kid Park automobiles that enter a circle, boats that go in a circle, airplanes that enter a circle ... you get the essence. We went one boiling hot afternoon, and cooled down by consuming gelato and dipping our feet in the surf. Then the next morning, they begged to the point of tears to return, so WE DID. Coney Island likewise could make an awesome date; you could go around 5:30 pm, when its cooler and less crowded, then ride the Wonder Wheel and have supper on the boardwalk.
