Hello, Steemians! Today I want to share with you some photos of Cara-Dag, beautiful ridge in the eastern part of Crimean seacoast. Millions years ago this region was almost on 2/3 under the sea level and has certain volcanic activity.

Сегодня я поделюсь с вами своими фотографиями хребта Кара-Даг, который находится в восточной части Крымского побережья. Только посмотрите на эти громадные скалы - а ведь миллионы лет назад здесь было все затоплено на 2/3.

Nowadays it's well protected reserve territory (Southern Ridge way) with small part allowed for walks.
Сейчас здесь хорошо охраняемый заповедник. Небольшая тропа по нему предназначена для туристов.

These crags are almost 400 meters above the sea level

Closest to the sea part of the ridge includes ruins of ancient volcanic caldera. The volcano erupted here more than 150 million years ago.

Самая ближайшая к морю часть хребта содержит в себе вулканические породы. 150 миллионов лет назад здесь был действующий вулкан.
