Thanks! The constant threat of terrorism is definitely very present when you leave the hotel area. There are armed people everywhere, police, soldiers, normal citizens.
We didn't think too much of potential terrorist attacks when booking the trip, but I certainly can understand that people might be afraid and reluctant to go there.
