Relaxing at Magic Sands Beach in Kona, Hawaii
I spent a chill day with my friend who lives on Kona side of Big Island at a local beach called Magic Sands. Why it's called "magic" I really don't know ... but the sand that is at the beach comes and goes depending on how large the swell is.
The beach isn't that big, and there are many many people that day on Tuesday that I went. It's a great place to body board, however one has to be careful of the rocks that are at the beach break area.
Parking used to be right next to the beach, but they found that the parking lot sits on or around an ancient Hawaiian burial area, so they have people park along the street or at the overflow parking lot across the street.
After going to Magic Sands, we had a nice brunch at Bongo's in Kona town along Ali'i Drive.
I miss Hawaii. I guess I need to follow you to keep up with your adventures there. Thanks for visiting my last travel review. Followed.
Awesome .. following you as fellow travelers!
