These are all pretty cool as lanterns. Can't help but notice the frequent use of the color red.

Those shots are so beautiful. I mostly like the one where there's an elegant phoenix. The shot where there are cute lanterns hanged to a Persimmons tree gives a warm feeling despite the seemingly cold night. ^_^

Red is actually a culturally symbolic colour in China. It symbolises luck and happiness so is frequently used as the main colour during festive periods such as the Spring festival and Lantern festival.
Similarly, the phoenix is sometimes the symbol of union because in Chinese, the phoenix is actually the fusion of both Feng and Huang which is male and female birds respectively. It is a coincidence that this year's zodiac is the Chicken, however the Phoenix is often used instead.

Oh, so that's why. I'm learning a lot about China from you.
