Scandinavian roadtrip (Part 1: crossing Denmark)
In my work, you sometimes get assignments that seems like a well-paid vacation. At this moment, I'm doing such a job.
The assignment:
- Loading: Thursday, June 8 - Copenhagen, Denmark.
- First stop: Monday, June 12 - Helsinki, Finland
- Second stop: Wednesday, June 14 - Stockholm, Sweden
- Delivery: When you're back in Holland, not urgent.
The customer's magic words, it's just someting small so if you want you cando it with your private car. In other words, this is a well-paid road trip.
So I left for Wednesday night. I drove from Amsterdam to Puttgarden. There I took the boat to Rodby, Denmark and from there I went to Copenhagen. During this period the nights in Scandinavia are short. In Denmark it was already quite light at 4:00 in the morning.
After loading the shipment I took a short break at a small lake near Copenhagen.
After that I went to Helsingor, Denmark to get a small ferry to Helsingborg, Sweden.
From this ferry you have a nice view over the town of Helsingor.
It seems a nice place but I can’t lose tu much time here. I booked the boat from Stockholm to Turku, Finland on Saturday morning at 7:00 am. So I leave Denmark towards Sweden.
In Sweden on my way to Stockholm I made several stops to take pictures of beautiful nature. I will share this with you in my next post.
