Road Trip For A Wedding - how we ended up on the floor.

So we are driving from TX to GA for a wedding.

Have you ever had trips where just nothing works? I really just find the humor in all of this so i wanted to share. Yall ready? 🤣

Within about an hour of driving we have already made 2 restroom stops and now the hunger strikes. It is what it is right? Everyone in the car (with the whole fam) went back and forth on food choices and it was decided that Grandys would be perfect. Yay! So we drive off route to find Grandys .....only to see it is shut down. Booooooo.

Next stop - Mcdonalds.

We go in and place our orders and the lady was so excited to hand us a buzzer to take to our table and explained that they would bring us our food and pick up the buzzer! Nice right? McDonald's is coming up. Lol

So we wait and wait - only to find the buzzer does not actually work and our food is sitting at the counter. Cool. Buzzer excitement buzz kill.

Eat. Leave. DRIVE.

Now about halfway there we start looking for hotels...all sold out. On a Thursday? Awesome.

Found a LaQuinta with one 2 queen available and we booked it.

Drive to hotel only to find out they actually do not have 2 beds available and only a King with sofa bed. Ok. Whatever at this point right?

We took it. Sofa bed was the thinnest springy mattress ever. So I go down to the front desk to grab some extra blankets (for the bed) and towels (because we kinda need more than 2 for 4 people). I ask the person for 3 extra towels and 2 extra blankets. He says sure and hands me a plastic bag filled with hand towels. At this point i smell him reeking of the reefer so I give him a little break. I said thank you ....may I please have 3 large towels and 2 blankets. He says of course! He grabs 3 towels and tries to stuff them in a bag for about 3 minutes....then gives up. Thats ok. Thanks for trying.

He looks at me like thats all there is ...

I asked him again for 2 blankets please (trying to keep in mind that this guy is high af so just keep asking and he will get it one of these days...).

He says oh yeah - ill be right back! Now im thinking...yayyy finally going to get blankets to help cushion the springs of the mattress!

Annnddddd he comes back with a big grin on his face and hands me ....

Two cloth shower curtains. 😑😑

I give up. This poor guy got throwed and dosent even know what a blanket is....good times.

Now we moved the mattress to the floor to help with support (couch saggy) and thats how we ended up on the floor.

Lets hope tomorrows drive is better.
