But if you have to choose, what are the unmissable experiences that this wonderful island offers? Here is my top 5!

5 PLACES NOT TO BE MISSED (IN MY OPINION):

Sardinia is an island that offers a lot for all types of travelers and tourists. Whether you love adventure or relaxation, water sports or hiking, whether you're a lover of adventure or elegance, Sardinia certainly has something to offer for you.

For years, I have been walking on the island for a good part of my summers and the places I love are many. It wasn't easy to make a selection, so I hope you will appreciate the enormous effort I have made!

So here is my personal TOP 5 of the places and experiences not to be missed on the island:

1 - A VISIT TO THE "TIME IN JAZZ FESTIVAL" (BERCHIDDA)

I stamp the card every year since the first edition of this amazing festival. Organized by the great Paolo Fresu in his birthplace, every year he leaves breathless. Jazz music (and surroundings...) at very high levels and incredible locations, in the heart of Sardinia. Not to be missed for any reason to the world if you are heading towards the north of the island. For me it's definitely.... A Love Supreme, A Love Supreme... tattoaa-tatA-tatA-tatA.....

2 - MAKE CHICKEN HARBOR SURFERS

Sometimes, whether you have physique du role or not, surfing is a figata. Go confident as if you show off natural waves on the hair lightened by salt and sun, with your eyes pointing to the horizon, and perfect tan, golden but not too much, which you get only with time and total screen protection. Here, in Porto Pollo, in that language of land which looks east towards Santa Teresa di Gallura and west towards the Maddalena Archipelago, there is the Sardinian surfing paradise. Where, then, in the evening, it's worth waiting for the sunset in one of the many wooden clubs on the beach, while the evening air refreshes the still salty skin, drinking a beer with reggae music. I would never go away!!

3 - A BATHROOM IN THE SMALL TAHITI

The sea in Sardinia almost always goes from beautiful to breathtaking; in short, it casca always standing. But there are places that are so breathtaking that you can't help but recommend. The so-called Piccola Tahiti, in Cala Coticcio on the island of Caprera in the Maddalena Archipelago, is one of these places. A very fine sand, a blue sea that is not possible anymore blue; a true paradise. Trust. The only difficulty is being able to avoid the crush. We recommend strange timetables - early morning or late afternoon - if you are in the area in high season!!

4 - SULCIS IGLESIENTE MINING PARK (SOUTHWEST)

For those who are heading to the south of the island, in the area of Sulcis Iglesiente, there are many attractions. Beaches and nature will not disappoint you, but the activities you think about can even go beyond the classic dive into the sea. The geomining area of Iglesias - which has recently become part of UNESCO World Heritage Sites - is beautiful and full of experiences not to be missed. Take a trip to a mine before (or after) the beach. You will not regret it. If you then go out onto a cliff overlooking the sea, reflecting in a sea that is not blueer than the rock of the Sugar Pan, then look for Porto Flavia. The harbour, built specifically to ship the minerals, was excavated for 600 meters in the rock, in the first twenty years of the' 900 and still today, turning around in its galleries is a crazy experience. Try to believe!

5 - SAN PANTALEO MARKET (MERALD COAST)

The Thursday morning market in San Pantaleo is a must for anyone visiting the Costa Smeralda. You'll find things you can't find anywhere else and top quality craftsmanship. It is a very particular market and it is no coincidence that many call it the Artists' Market. I warn you. You'll want to give up when you approach the village by car and you'll find yourself swallowed up by an endless row of cars waiting to park for the famous market. I advise you not to demolish. In my opinion, it is really worth it! Try it and then you can tell me!
HOW TO REACH THE ISLAND

Reaching Sardinia is not difficult. There are many connections both by sea and by land. If you have the opportunity to take your car I always recommend the solution by sea, because Sardinia is really beautiful to travel and having a car means you can move freely to discover beaches, archaeological treasures, gourmand farmhouses and villagos lost in the mountains.

The thing I suggest you to do is book your ferry using a website where you can book online ferries to Sardinia of different shipping companies. In this way you will have the opportunity to evaluate different routes, some of them certainly more comfortable or economical than others. Don't forget, then, when you think of a holiday in Sardinia, that even the so-called "low season" can be a good idea. From the beginning of May until the end of October Sardinia does not skimp on wonderful days and crystal clear waters to immerse itself in dream baths!

To me for example it's just come wanting to leave!!
