Tabriz, a city for cookie lovers

TABRIZ is famous for many things. I just wrote a post about this city couple of days ago and I promised to write about its food and cookies in separate posts; this is the one for cookies :))

Tabriz is city of delicious cookies, if you can't say NO easily, you will gain 5 Kilos in a 3 days visit! So be confidant about saying NO sometimes.

of course if you are a tourist, you will walk enough amount of steps each day to burn some of those extra calories!

Tashrifat confectionery is a famous shop in tabriz and you can find cookies of tabriz for souvenir. All the pictures in this post are from this store.

QORABIEH is one of the best Tabriz cookies, RIS & NOQA are other popular ones. Qurabiya is a shortbread-type biscuit originating from Tabriz usually made with ground almonds.

About the prices in the picture: it's almost 3 - 4 USD per Kilogram
