Rare Look Inside The Palace On Dam Square Amsterdam! Must See Hardly Ever Open.
The palace in Amsterdam is only sometimes open for the public, therefore it’s a must see when you have the change.
I had the change to visit the palace last week and could enjoy the insight of the palace I almost pass every day when I leave my house.
Originally the Palace was built to serve as the Town hall in 1648, then in 1806 when Lodewijk Napoleon, brother of the French emperor, was assigned as king of the Netherlands he decided to turn the Town hall into a palace in 1808.
“ the Palace during a special event, with our famous tulips”
The palace on Damsquare is one of the most famous landmarks of the city and located very close to the central station, that’s why you could hardly miss it when you visit the city.
Enjoy my picture tour:
“The main hall at the entrance”
“super nice walls and ceilings”
“our current King Willem Alexander and his wife our queen Maxima from Argentina”
“ the outside off the palace during a ceremony”
The interior of the palace is super nice and was renovated in 2006, just look who nice it all looks.
“Gold! Behind glass of course”
I don’t want to spoil everything, because my goal is for you to visit the palace yourself.
It’ s worth is that’s for sure, and as mentioned its right downtown.
“they offer a great audio tour to understand the palace better”
“the Square in front of the palace”
Hope I inspired you to visit and if you ever visited how did you like it?
Keep an eye out for my next post about Amsterdam.
Hoi!
Amazing to have a look on the inside! Almost everyday I travel by the palace. Finally I know what the inside looks like now :) thank you!
