€ 100 Donation For Sint Maarten Thanks To Your Support!

Last week I asked everybody to upvote for hurricane relief in Sint Maarten, I would like to thank everybody that did so and special thanks to @theywillkillyou @world5list @offoodandart @marcovanhassel and @cloudculpepper that resteemed the post. In the end the post was able to get 76 upvotes and a payout of $ 47,98 as promised I decided to DOULBE that and also decided to donate in Euro instead of Dollar.

How did I donate?
@killgirl asked me how I would donate and at first I did not really know but then the Dutch government gave me a great idea.
The government turned 14th September into “ Help Sint Maarten day” so nationwide there were initiatives to raise money and donate.
In total we as a country were able to help Sint Maarten by raising 13,4 Million Euros during that day!
I decided to donate our Steemit money to the allocated account as well; the account Giro 5125 for the Red Cross.

What did the Netherlands do to collect money?
As mentioned the whole country felt horrible and helpless during the Hurricane so many people including me together with you decided to do something. We raised money in many ways:

Top chefs offered a dinner and donated

The City off Waalwijk donated € 1 per inhabitant €47.000

Soccer Teams donated ticket sales

Dutch celebrities were answering the donate hotline phone

“even the Dutch Prins in helping’

Celebrities auctioning off belongings and activities

Hospitals donated equipment

And many more initiatives.
