Best Open Air Concert On The Canals Amsterdam!
A few times a year I am absolutely in love with Amsterdam, the “Grachten festival” is one of those days!
I listen to everything that’s been played on the radio so I am not a classical music expert, but one day a year I just have to go to one off the most beautiful canals of Amsterdam, which is located just minutes away from my house, the Prinsengracht.
On the day of the concert people arrive in boats early in the morning to get the best spot. So basically they will lay there all day before they can leave again late at night.
I took some pictures the morning to show you the preparations.

The event is for me as mentioned one of the highlight of the year in Amsterdam, of course the also broadcast is on the Dutch television.
But off course we all waited for the concert to start at night.

All and all a super fun day and a very nice day to be in Amsterdam!
Every year the close the concert with the same song about how beautiful Amsterdam is.

This event reminds me of the Cavalcade we have here in London. It's a festival of narrowboats on the Grand Union Canal. It's more of a daytime thing though, being London.
