#18 NBA Basketball Surprises Week 20 (Haas News)

in #travel6 years ago (edited)

The best NBA performances Weekly! Its Sunday and like every Sunday it’s time to discuss the NBA surprises.

Hi everybody welcome to my weekly NBA posts, I really enjoy sharing the NBA surprises with you and did so every week. The last two weeks I did not post the weekly surprises but in return you as a Basketball fan got real action by me visiting games in Oakland, Sacramento and Los Angeles, I hope you enjoyed those entries, if was sure enjoyable to me.
I would love to name two players that really surprised me when I saw them play and by now I am even a little bit fan of them. The two players that won HAAS NBA trip MVP’s are:
Montrezl Harrell! Great high energy player that rally played well when I saw him play and Skal Labissiere, great solid player, very young as well.

So without further ado. Let’s discus this week’s surprises and great performances. And what a week it was the Bucks in the 8th spot now after going 3-7 the last 10 games, the Clippers sneaking into the 8th spot, The Rockets win streak snapped.
Here are the key guys this week in my eyes;

Fred VanVleet
Guess who is back in the list? For the second time this year he is making my list, why?
There are many things I want to share about the Raptors, they were the first to clinch a play-offs spot! They have the best bench in the NBA, they snapped Houston’s winning streak. They held Charlotte to 37% shooting this week! GO RAPTORS!

Van Vleet did not play his basketball this week if you look at his field goal percentage but had 11 points against Houston, the shot that took it into overtime against the Pistons and had 7 assist against Atlanta.
If he continues to play like this Lowry has a chance to rest some more before going into the play-offs witch will be huge.
I am really excited to see what the Raptors can do this year, normally they choke a little when they play-offs start! In a few weeks we can find out!

Ed Davis
Currently on a 9 game win streak, beating the Warriors twice during that time. The Trail Blazers moved into the 3th spot! Heating up at the right time.
This week they were able to beat the Lakers, Knicks and Warriors.

The Blazers have McCollum and Lillard and they are great, but even they miss shots once in a while and this week Ed Davis provided the team rebounds and more important second chance points and that’s something you don’t give the Blazers! They will make you pay.

Ed Davis played great against the Warriors and the rest of the week, so he just had to be on this list. Averaging close to 12 rebounds for the week.

Rudy Gobert
Just imagine this; Utah is 17-2 on their last 19 games! Making one of the most strong play-offs pushes I ever saw, I really hope they can make it, it will be a great boost to all small market teams after losing your best player.

This list saw many Utah Jazz players because they really do it with team play, this week the selection goes to; Rudy Gobert! When he was injured the Jazz really missed him but since he is back, the rim protection is just great.
This week the team beat the Grizzlies, Magic and Pacers and Rudy really made his presence known.
Just look at those stats; 21 points and 17 rebounds, 12 points and 16 rebounds, 23 points and 14 rebounds and 4 points and 10 rebounds. Rudy you just had to be on this week’s list!

As mentioned many Jazz players made the list before, I want to give a small encouragement to Jay Crowder as well, scoring 14,16 and 22 points of the best the latest games. He fits in just fine.

Bojan Bogdanovic
The Pacers play really well, like the Jazz they found a way to win after they lost their Superstar. They are 4th in the East and think they can really make some noise in the play-offs especially when they finish 4th so they have home court advantage the first round.

This week the star is Bojan Bogdanovic, scoring 24 points a game in wins and 13 points in their loss this week against Utah, but hey Utah made it to the list as well.
Hopefully he can keep up his 3 point shooting to create more space for the guards to drive to the basket.

Anthony Davis
The best for last this week? I do believe so! Since Cousins went don’t this guy is just unbelievable, making his case to be in the MVP conversation!
Need I to convince you more? Don’t think so right.
They are 4th in the West right now! And without Davis the win streak came to an end straight away.
Really hope he can play soon again.

Anthony Davis has great season this year. I think he had best week of all this players, but i need to agree with you @freethrows that Dame had great week.

Good selections there. I feel like Damian Lillard should be on this list also!!

You are right! he is playing great, decided to go for Davis on that team instead, hope to see you back next week

Damian on a terror. He is very underrated.

Jazz are winning a ton and still not moving up the west. Shows how strong the West is.

RUDY. fun to see him playing good again.

Crowder fits in in Utah. He said basketball is fun again and it’s showing.

thanks for stopping by my friend, lets see what this week brings

That's cool you're able to make it to all those NBA games. I'm here in LA rooting for the Lakers and its hard to go to games regularly because they're so damn expensive
