His Senior Trip - Part One - "My Baby is Leaving the Nest!"
Our eldest son, 18 year old "Tobster", is graduating this May.
I'm sure I'll make a big cry-baby post about it when the time comes.
He recently went on his senior trip! They traveled by charter bus to Panama City Beach, Florida. He left at about 9pm on Saturday night. He was both excited and nervous about the trip, as were we, but we knew he was about to have an awesome vacation!
Excited face!
The following photos are ones either taken by him using his little camera or his cell phone, as well as photos taken by his friends and some of the senior class sponsors. I was so happy to see one every time it popped up on my FB newsfeed. Toby is a typical teen boy and was terrible about not sending me updates and photos. I knew he was safe, but I looked forward to each time he touched base with me.
Bus View
They drove through the night, arriving in Panama City Beach at about 4pm on Sunday. This was the photo I received announcing their arrival:
Toby's friend Jordan and Toby on the balcony of their hotel suite
They had the rest of the day to rest and ate pizza on the beach as a group for dinner.
I don't think Jordan can take a normal photo...Haha!

This was Toby's first time seeing the ocean! He took a dip and I think he approved!
The next day, Monday, they went on a one hour airboat ride through the inter-coastal waterway and into one of the local rivers.
That's Toby in the front row, far right
Osprey nest!
They saw baby alligators but Toby said they slipped into the water as he was taking a picture. You can see the ripples in the water from them going in.
Another airboat on an adventure
The airboat place had its own little "gator world" that the kids visited. I'll post about that later! Stay tuned!

What a wonderful adventure for your son!
