In my previous post, I shared with you some pictures of Fuling Tomb. If you miss it , you can click#1 #2#3

The Fuling Tomb of the Qing Dynasty was the mausoleum of Nu'erhachi(Emperor Taizu) and Empress Xiaoci Yehenala. As it is situated in the eastern suburbs of the old city of Shenyang, it is popularly called the East Tomb. It was buit in the 1629 in the reign of Emperor Tiancong of Late Jin Dynasty.

The Lone'en Hall is also one of the main buildings in the Fuling Tomb. There are tablets of occupant of a tomb in it and also is the place for sacrifice.

The middle path is called the Sacred Way, which leads to the underground palace.

The Crescent City is located ath the northern side of the Square City, which is so named for its crescent shape. It is a unique building in Qing Dynasty, there was no such building before Qing Dynasty. And it is a special space in order to walk up and down the Square City and Treasure City easily.

The City is about 5 meters high and has one glazed screen wall in the middle of its northern wall.
There are many lengends about builting Underground Palace. It is said that those craftsmen were force to eat a kind of medicine and immediately became dumb, so the City was called Mute City. Another legend was that they were sealed in the Underground Palace after they built it.
All in all, these sound bloodcurdling.

It is called "Crescent Screen Wall" ,which was said to be the entrance to the Underground Palace. And there are beautiful peonies on the Wall, symbolize wealth and rank.

The Treasure City is located at the northern side of the Crescent City. It is paved with gray bricks.

The loft round mound in the central of the Treasure City is the Treasure Peak. Under the treasure Peak lies the Underground Palace. Here lie emperor Nuerhachi and his wife.

Because of the rumours, people think that it is very mysterious. Although it is not open, now we can guess what it looks like by some imperial tombs which are exhibited, such as Qing Dongling, where there are some figures of the Buddha on the wall, many stone door, very hard and its space is very big.

In short, I always feel that I have learned a lot after every trip. It made me not only know more the history of Qing Dynasty, but also reveal the mysterious fantasy. If you are interested it and have a chance to Shenyang, don't miss the first emperor's Tomb in Qing Dynasty.
