Utila, Honduras: Beautiful and empty beachs

Utila is this magical, undiscovered paradise. It is known by divers around the world as a cheap place to get open water or advanced certifications. While Utila is a backpackers dream with its cheap accommodations and even more affordable food, it also has some of the most beautiful tropical beaches — and they're never crowded.

These images are from Pumpkin Hill beach on the northside of the island. There is currently not a lot of development and even less services, but that's what gives the area its charm.

This is the dock at Blue Bayou, located all the way on the west side of town. Blue Bayou is a favorite location for snorkeling:

And on the East end of town before you get to the Tradewinds neighborhood, Bando Beach is an expansive area great for swimming and lounging. There is also a bar conveniently located on shore that serves frozen cocktails and food.
