Man that food looks good. I am a huge ice cream fan so I'm really intrigued by the "pasta" Ice Cream. When I heard you went there, I googled it. Of course all of the stuff about violence popped up. I was like "that guy is one brave dude". I'm glad you addressed that in this post and gave a first hand account of the reality. It sounds like you enjoyed a great trip to a "non touristy" place.
"Off the beaten track (or path)", so they say. The countryside and people are wonderful, violence aside.
