Our trip to Cappadoccia - Turkey
I am sharing with you our experience of visiting Cappadocia. It is a city located in central Turkey and very well know for its historical background.
I took a bus trip from an agency for 4 days and 3 nights. It took us all the night to reach Cappadocia. Well it wasn't really comfortable, because it is difficult for me to sleep in a sitting position otherwise everything else was OK.
In those 4 days we visited mostly all places in the area, tried different food and had a good opportunity for photo shooting.
Cappadocia is famous with it is unusual rock formation that is unexplained. The most people say that it is a result of eroding rains and winds, while others say that it was made by ancient civilizations. It looks really unusual, but gave homes for many families over the years. Till now people are still using them as homes, shops and also hotels.
Another interesting fact that is also unclear is the underground city. A huge tunnel with different rooms and churches. People who lived there had everything to make wine, cook and have fresh air. Nobody can really explain what they escaped from or why they chose to live in a tunnel for a long time.
The tunnel is very old so we cant say that Christians build it to escape war. It was very well organized and looks to be build by an ancient civilization for a reason that we cant really explain.
We went out every night to have coffee and buy some souvenirs. See the night life of the ancient city and take photos from the top of the hill.
People were very nice and friendly. As usual many cute street cats. Everything was just perfect.
The best experience was the hot air balloon. We started before sunrise and we paid nearly 100 Euro for one hour. It was amazing to see the incredible landscapes from above. It was my first time and I really enjoyed it.
