With its vast and diverse landscapes, exceptional wildlife and breath-taking beaches. Algeria is one of the most interesting countries in the world.
We’ve gone through a lot of researches and experiences to find out what makes Algeria such a one of a kind destination. From the white sand beaches on the Mediterranean Sea through the Atlas Mountains to the Great Sahara Desert…

1 The Casabah of Algiers:

Meaning citadel ( the core fortified area of a town or a city) the casaba was founded on the ruins of the old civilizations that thrived in Algeria before. It remains number one attraction for tourists from inside as well as outside the country. With it’s narrow allies and old architecture, the city is ready to take you back in time in a trip that will be engraved in your memory.

  1. Bejaia :

Bejaia is situated on the Mediterranean coastline which makes it a superb destination for the summer holidays. Tourists have plenty of places to visit and various cultures to learn about. In addition to the white sandy beaches there is also the large forests that gives a spectacular view when meeting the sea in “cap carbon” which home to the endangered “Barbary macaque monkey “.

  2. Telemcen:

One place to go if you are a fan of prehistoric caves and Moorish buildings. These later are similar to those found in north morocco ans spain. In fact, there is an imitation to “Alhambra castle “that is located in Granada, Spain. There is also “ the caves of Beni add”, a world treasure with a magnificent view inside at a depth of 700 meters.

  3. Oran:

the second largest city in Algeria. Oran is a beautiful port city and a place that gathers modernity with the charm of the old days. It offers plenty of places to explore and a range of activities to do while you are there such as scuba diving , sampling the Algerian cuisine and listening to the lively rai music.

  4. Timgad:

Further more to the south, an entirely different attraction. 40 km far from Batna, lays the ruins of an entire Roman town that must have served a compelling image of the grandeur of Rome on Numidian soil. This world heritage has been the main interest of archaeologists through the last two centuries

  5. the Atakor plateau:

Though the difficulty you might face to reach it without a guide, the Atakor plateau situated in the ahagar national park is definitely worth the efforts. The place seems like it just jumped out of a sci-fi movie due to the red-brown landscape and the harsh sheer peaks. “The Asekrem peak” which means “the end of the world” in the Tuareg language is the best description for the view.
We saved the best for last although it is impossible to review all the beautiful places you can visit in Algeria in one article.

  6. Tassili n’ajjers:

Located between the city of Illizi and Tamenghasset . the site looks like a piece from planet Mars and contains more than 15000 drawings from the prehistoric era recording the climatic changes, the animal migrations and the evolution of the human life from 6000 B.C to the first centuries of the present era.
