@mickeybeaves and I are getting married July, 22nd So we made reservations at the Vancouver Lookout Revolving Restaurant on June, 22nd to celebrate our 30 day countdown. There are two levels on the lookout the bottom part is where you can pay to go look out the windows at the city of Vancouver below and the top part is the revolving restaurant where Cody and I had a 2 hour and 45 minute dinner. The restaurant was booked solid for the weekend and we arrived early for our reservation but we still were seated as soon as we arrived.

We started out with drinks I had a mimosa with fresh squeezed orange juice and sparkling wine, and Cody got an amber beer in a cold glass, my mimosa was one of the tastiest mimosas I have had it was light, bubbly and citrusy. For our appetizers we got a lobster tower salad, which was avocado, onion, tomato, cocktail sauce, lemon and lobster, and we ordered prawn and cheese stuffed mushrooms. The lobster tower was the most unique dish from the evening and it was definitely the tastiest, the mushrooms were moist and tangible, they were just delectable. For our main dishes Cody got a whole lobster, which melted in your mouth and was soaked in a buttery garlic sauté, and I got a crab meat, prawn stuffed grilled salmon, my fish was tender and stuffed in a seafood melody that was divine tasting.

And for dessert we had a grilled pineapple, peach, blueberry crumble, with ice cream on top and garnished with a chocolate straw. Both Cody and I were impressed with the grilled pineapple in this dish, it was juicy and had the perfect sweet to citrus ratio, the blueberries were on the mooshy side but very sweet and bursting with flavors and the peaches melted in your mouth, seemed like they were meant for a peach pie. The ice cream was a rich vanilla bean flavor and the chocolate straw was the perfect consistency, breaking with a crunch under my spoon. The fruits sat in a watery syrup that I wasn’t too crazy about and the “crumble” was granola tossed on top. Overall I wasn’t too impressed with this dessert.

Throughout the night we were on a slow carousel circling the city view and as the evening sky turned into night the city lights came on and we watched the twinkling lights reflect off the water, the car lights driving among the city and the lights along the buildings and stadiums surrounding us. It was incredibly romantic, I had an amazing evening with my soon to be husband, we both really enjoyed the food, view and the company of each other.
