Two 175w panels and a 50w panel max out my BlueSky3000i

With my 1050 watt inverter, I never want for power. I can plug in most anything, just like a house. The only reason to start the generator now, is when I want the air conditioner on, which is very rarely.

Four Trojan T-105 6 volt batteries provide plenty of storage for my solar power.

Off grid independance, comfort, and NO power bill make this simple upgrade a no brainer for any traveler, camper, explorer, prospector or adventurer!

Although my upvote is small I am happy to share it with you.

We've been trying to find someone. .. anyone.. east of the Mississippi to install 320 watts of panels, an inverter, controller, BMK and 2 6V batteries in our solar ready travel trailer. No Luck! Did you do the work yourself?

Thanks for the reply, @nunctunc. Yes, I did all the work myself. I dont know anyone on your side of the Mississippi who does it though.

What could you do with the electricity when you don't need it ?

Great question, @solarcoach. When house batteries are full, power may be diverted to charging the vehicle battery or running lights and fans, for instance.

How much did this setup cost? What is your usage like? @gypsydanger

Well, @buzz.lightyear, It was under $2000.00 for sure....my usage is aprox. 105 amp hours per day.
