New Zealand: South Island - Tasman to Buller (Mobile Photography)
Tasman
(Tapawera)Tasman is one of the most beautiful places to be in Autumn in my opinion. I took so many pictures of our drive through State Highway 6 to try and capture how beautifully small I felt as we drove through this great district.
Unfortunately, I've lost the geolocation pin on this photo. But it's somewhere between Tasman and Buller :D
Buller
(Gorge)Photo credit to my husband for this one. In fact, in our full album of over 800 pictures, quite a few were taken while standing right in the middle of the road. Road-tripping around the South Island is quite popular with tourists. In New Zealand, we drive on the left side of the road and unfortunately, there are a lot of accidents in the South Island involving tourists accidentally driving on the right-hand side, hence the arrows as a visual reminder every few kilometres.
(Lower Buller Gorge Scenic Reserve)
This was one of my husband's favourite scenic stops. The noise of nature felt so wonderfully quiet and peaceful to us city-natives. A car would pass every few minutes, but for a moment, you could feel like you were in the middle of nowhere. In the words of my husband, Kyle, "It felt like something out of Jurassic Park".
