Every year the Hungarian people celebrating the foundation of the Kingdom of Hungary. On 20. August 1000 King Saint Stephen founded the Kingdom of Hungary. Since then all the people celebrating this day and there is a huge firework at the end of the day.

Me and my girlfriend watching this event now every year in Budapest. Come with me to Budapest and it's national day :)

⬆ Me and a Hungarian friend with a big piece of bread. This bread is a symbol of a plentiful harvest and independence. The national day is also called "The day of the bread"

⬆ At Buda Castle, a lot of craftsmen are gathering and making together a procession

⬆ There are a lot of beautiful sculptures as well

⬆ They have beautiful queue of hair

⬆ After some time the procession will start and all the craftsmen will move to the church

⬆ The crowd is already near the church where the ceremony starts

⬆ In front of the Matthias Church, the ceremony will take place

⬆ In front of King Stephen sculpture, the bread will cut in pieces and spread around the people

⬆ After that, the people are going back for celebrating

⬆ For example with a lot of palinka (schnapps)

⬆ Dora and I were enjoying the Buda Castle and waiting for the sunset

⬆ Finally, the firework take place for celebrating the foundation of the Kingdom of Hungary more than 1000 years ago
