Hello Steemians!

This time I am taking you for a trip to really specific destination. It all started couple of years ago actually. When Jimmy Hendrix himself visited Africa for first time it was here in Essaouira! A little city district on the outskirts of the city was happy enough to receive this visit.

After crossing a bridge from Essaouira, one gets the feeling of calmness and almost a wilderness like atmosphere. There is a ruined palace which some sultan or king used to live in. Quite impressive place really.

Further away from the river and the ocean co es the Hendrix's town itself. It is a narrow strip of few houses and buildings. With its famous Hendrix café and hostel. The town itself doesn't offer much more than that really but the vibe that catch you as soon as you arrive there fills up the gap.

Of course there needs to be some street art in the memory of the great artist!

Where there are tourist attractions, there are also tourists and here is obviously no shortage of them. So if you happen to be one of the lazy or comfortable ones you can tak a camel ride to the Hendrix's town. And than park them on the beach again.

There are also the nearest dunes where you can drive a buggy or a quad or just get lost in lot of sand...

So, if you're Hendrix's fan or not you should definitely check it out when around Essaouira.
