Dream Home Destination Was Just A Fantasy In My Head

After living in Paris for a year I wanted to experience life in the sunshine. So I moved myself to Nice and took my family along. You would think with the beach and warm weather I would be happier right? I got what I asked for. There was no real café culture, very few social events, the streets were dirty. It did not feel french I was missing the Parisian vibe. I'll give Nice credit because it did have some beautiful sights. So my trip to Nice made me miss Paris even more!

Luckily my curious soul was adamant to explore the whole of the South of France and I found my one. I found my place, it was Cannes. I just thought Cannes was a small city that is only vibrant when the film festival was on. But it had everything I was looking for, and there was more benefits the rent was so much more cheaper. Nice was just a fantasy in my head that ended being a bad play in reality. I can't hate on Nice too much because if I never traveled there, I would have not considered Cannes being my home.
