Trip to Olango Island, Cebu
My Trip to Olango Island which is located in the Central Visayas Region of the Philippines.
Olango Island is just seaward from Mactan Island and is most famous for its 920-hectare Wildlife Sanctuary. The island has the most inclusive mangroves and enrich with beautiful coral reefs.
My first trip to Olango Island has been a great experience. My friend who is residing at Olango invited me as she went home. She promised to tour me to some of the most visited sites in the island.
I got so excited because it was my first time to go out in my comfort zone and experience a real adventure.
To get to the Island, We took a pumpboat ride from the terminal located near Mövenpick Hotel in barangay Punta Engaño for a fee of P15 per person.
This was the pumped boat that brought us to the island.
I got a bit nervous because it was my first time riding in that boat in the middle of the sea with big waves.. got me chills.
Our first stop is the Shalala Beach.
The Entrance fee is so affordable as P20-P50 per head.. Cottage rate is about P300-P1000 only.. There is also a videoke inside that you can sing along.
The water is as blue as the sky.. and its White Sand makes it more beautiful..
After that, we go biking. There are bikes for rent, 10Php/Hr. We had so much fun roaming around the island for 2 1/2 hours..

But we didn't took much longer, We still have many place to go but i have to go home early at that time.
So for the second time we went to Olango along with some our friends already because they also want to experience and have a glance of its beauty and nature. The more the merrier!
We also went to San Vicente Marine and Bird Sanctuary..
It is known for its Bamboo Bridge about 500 meters long cutting through the mangroves and ends at the makeshift above-the-water observation structure for one to watch the ocean and the nearby islands and the visible cities of Cebu and Lapu-Lapu.
As much as i wanted to upload all of the photos, there are still some places haven't reached yet. You see, it would take few days to travel all the tourists spots in the island.. I've just shown to you some places we've gone through. Places that you shouldn't missed on your bucket lists.
Thanks for dropping by! :)
Till the next adventure!
