MY TRIP TO VATICAN
I was very lucky enough to visit Vatican for two days during my visit to Europe almost 2 years ago. It was a journey which I will never forget.
Vatican City is a Sovereign state within Rome created in 1929 and run by the Pope.It covers an area of 110 acres. It is indeed a city of ancient churches which has historical background.
First of all I visited a Church where St.Paul was beheaded.
Later that day I could visit Basalicas of Santa Maria,St.Paul and St.John
Another place of interest for a tourist to Rome is the famous Colosseum where the Gladiator fights took place during the Roman empire
Vatican Museum is a place which tourists should not miss out. It covers Raphael's rooms,the Sistine Chapel with its iconic "Creation of Adam" by Michelangelo and the "Last judgement"
I will write about my Papal audience and the visit to St.Peter's Basalica in my next story.
