Two falls meet here in CEDAR, Impasug-ong, Bukidnon

As human beings, we tend to fall in love with things that are pleasing to our eyes and things that also excite us. We crave for such satisfaction and would venture to travel around the world just to experience it either once in a while or even each and passing day in our lives. Well, for me, I prefer to experience it and create wonderful moments every day.

We should be glad and grateful to know that Mother Nature is capable of providing not just our needs, but also these cravings of ours. We are surrounded with seas and oceans that satisfy our thirsty eyes. We are also surrounded with unique-shaped mountains. There are actually a lot of things that we should be grateful of Mother Nature. In response, we should be safeguards of its wonders

At this point, I want to share to you CEDAR or Center for Ecology Development and Recrestion located at Impalutao, Impasug-ong in the province of Bukidnon.

Just a quick reminder for everyone, please wear sunblock especially when you are being exposed to the heat of the sun particularly from nine (9) in the morning until four (4) in the afternoon.

Anyhow, CEDAR is just actually two (2) or three (3) hours travel from Cagayan de Oro City where I reside. It actually varries whether or not there is a traffic jam due to reconstruction of roads (which is so common in the Philippines particularly few months before the election season) or landslides along the way. But last holiday was a great day to travel and enjoy the venue

It was actually just a teachers' outing of my mom during the Day of Valor or Araw ng Kagitingan, when they unanimously decided to include their families. We were actually more than five families! Some brought their private vehicles, while some rented a van. Meanwhile my family and I hitch on Ms. Vacalares' Innova. I sat beside Apple at the back.

I actually slept during the entire trip because I was playing Rules of Survival on mobile until dawn. My addiction on mobile games needs to be stopped at some point. rolls eyes

For a brief introduction, I took a short clip near the entrance of CEDAR. As you can observe, due to the spontaneous travels I had, I got my skin tanned. I know I should have worn sunblock to avoid getting toasted .

Just look at how toasted I got. Haha!

The place is pretty cold as well because there were a lot of trees around. And when we arrived , it was lunch time already so there were a lot of people around.

The pool was filled with children and adult, but the area is wide so you could just pick a spot where to stay just like what we did.

Since it was past lunch time, we decided to eat first. The cottages were all used so we decided to stay near the road. Glad that mom bought a mat!

We had a variety of food for lunch and snacks. Maam Marvie's husband even grilled fresh fish that we bought from the wet market found along the highway.

And so the adventure begins!

We walked for ten minutes before we reached the first falls. It was really an amazing sight. The trees were pretty old as the roots were all big and visible. I suggest everyone to be careful while trekking because you might stumble along the way. There are still no railing though.

You could clearly see how the local government tries to preserve the area and avoid disasters by delegating and assigning personnel that scouts the area.

Before reaching the second falls, we need to pass over this bamboo bridge where there are kids near the railings. There were even four years old kids who were so brave to jump that high. My knees were shaking while looking at them. They use the bridhe by the way as a platform before jumping off the water.

And behold how wonderful this place is! The short trek brought us to a paradise. The water is just so clear and cold. I really enjoyed it!
