Steemians, I have been on break from posting news reports on Steemit for the past couple weeks as I visit Russia for the first time in my life. I have visited Moscow, the multicultural city of Kazan — the capital of Russia's Tatarstan region — and the picturesque second city of the country, Saint Petersburg.

Below are shots of the Kul Sharif Mosque in Kazan and the majestic State Hermitage Museum in Saint Petersburg, which I just visited yesterday.

My trip is drawing to a close shortly. Although this has not been a news gathering venture, it has been a very memorable experience — one I will probably never forget. I hope to share more photos with you in the near future. And very shortly I will return to posting news stories.
