The City Hid In The Cleft Of The Rock
Petra was originally called Raqmu, by the Nabataeans, who built this archaellogical wonder into the Rose colored rocks of the Jordan mountains. The city was cut out of the stone and had a complete water system with a conduit. Many call it the "Rose City," due to the color.
