My Adventure Trip to Moalboal Cebu (Photos)

in #travel7 years ago

Since the start of the year, I became active in traveling. Traveling opens up a new world for me outside of numbers as I visit new places, meet new people and experience new things life has to offer. After all, life is an adventure.

Last June 23, I came back to Cebu to see more of the Queen City of the South in the Philippines and to have two of the items in my bucket list checked - Sardines Run at Moalboal and Canyoneering at Kawasan Falls.

Together with my cousin, we arrived in Cebu on Friday, June 23. We stayed at Tipolo Beach Resort. It has one of the best scenic spots as it was few steps away from the beach and has an amazing sunset view at the back.

On our day 2, we had the canyoneering at Kawasan Falls. I am still sick with colds yet I did not hesitate to go on with the adventure. Our tour guide picked us up at Tipolo Beach Resort at around 8:30 am. After 30 minutes of habal-habal ride (riding at the back of a motorcycle), we reached the destination of the start of canyoneering. We suited up with life vest and had a short orientation from our tour guide before we went on to the trail. It was raining at that time.

The first few meters of the trail took us around 30 minutes before we had our first cliff jump! It was 20 feet high. There were a lot of picturesque views along the trail and it took us 5 hours to finish it.

Before we ended the day, we had a trip to chase Cambais Falls. Cambais Falls consists of 3 levels of falls. We had to climb slimy rocks to reach level 3.

On the next day, we went into the beach and rode a boat going to Pescador Island. We had one hour of snorkeling adventure there together with Korean scuba divers, after which we head on to Panagsama Beach to search for the item in my bucket list - SARDINES RUN! In Moalboal, we asked around where in Panagsama Beach can you find the famous school of fish and they said that it was near the Italian restaurant. To find it, you must search for the Orange restaurant that is off the beach. it is very easy to find. After minutes of searching, I found it.

The next day is our flight back to Manila. For more pictures of this adventure trip, you can follow me at Instagram.

PERSONAL FINANCE TIP:

Research showed that people who spent money on experiences rather than material things were happier and felt the money was better spent. Money is numbers and numbers never end. If it takes money to be happy, your search for happiness will never end. The more you own, the more it costs to keep them. Oftentimes, too much possession ends up possessing its owner. Things fade and you can never get contentment in possessing more things as there is always something new around the corner and someone else has always more than we do. Keep less and you’ll have more money to do the things you love that makes you happy. CHEERS FOR MORE TRAVEL ADVENTURES!

That looks great, pare! I haven't been to Cebu but it's definitely on the list. Here's hoping I could get to it in the coming months.
