Surf Fishing On The East Coast Of Taiwan

in #travel7 years ago

Surf fishing on the East Coast of Taiwan is any fisherman’s dream. Whether it is Spring, Summer, Fall, or Winter, the East Coast is colorful and diverse. Its many rocks and reefs are filled to abundance with fish of every species. It is a fisherman’s delight!  With a few simple tools of the trade, fisherman can fish from the island shores to reap bounties of fresh fish. Surf fishing is fun! It is relaxing! It is profitable! Dinner is waiting! Fishing the shores of the Island of Taiwan is amazing. The East Coast is a fisherman’s heaven. So come on, let’s go fishing!

You need no boat to Surf Fish, just a love of fishing. No need to wade out to the deep water, as flounder, striped bass, and others like to hang around sand bars. There are also those beautiful Coral Reefs that are packed with every species of fish you can think of. Rocks jet out into the water and are a fisherman’s delight. Chartering a boat is certainly possible in each of the coastal marinas, but there is little need. Most dedicated anglers prefer fishing from local docks or enjoy surf fishing from the rocky coastline. The rocky coastline is such a wonderful place to drop your spinners with bobbers attached.   Most anglers are extremely patient people and prefer to just toss out their hooks and sit on the shore and visit and relax with other anglers. Favorite baits in the area are  worms, liver, squid, and shrimp. They seem to prefer to attach J hook rigs at the end. Whatever your preference, there is plenty of dinner options waiting for the patient fisherman. Surf Fishing is fun! Surf fishing is a challenge! Surf fishing, is a Taiwan adventure.

What a fantastic experience it is to fish in Taiwan.  While it is different from fishing in the U.S. anglers the world over have the same excitement that only fresh and saltwater Surf Fishing can offer. The time is ripe, for the fishing trip of a life time. For added ideas, check out our websites:

Lucky you. We are catching catfish, bass and cpappie here in Oklahoma.

We used to fish in Lawton countryside :-)

Really, that's interesting. We have lots of lakes , rivers and streams and really green here northeast of Tulsa.

Very interesting and pretty place!

Thank you @lakshmi it is cool in the summer there.

That reminds me of the time I snorkeled in a really shallow reef just a few feet off the beach at Grand Cayman Island. I saw so many fish! I scared up a few flounder that were hiding in the sand. What a strange-looking creature. I even saw a lion fish but knew not to touch it.

taiwan beach looks amazing!
i hope i can visit it in the future..

@deism12 it's a great place to visit.

yes it is..
to bad i dont have the money to travel haha :)

Looks like a lot of fun.

Nice! I've got to go fishing again soon.

Also, you asked about my animals.

So far, the chickens are great and laying well.

The rabbits are breeding like rabbits.

The Muscovy Ducks are hatching their own ducklings.

The hogs are clearing the land for us.

The Guinea Fowl Keets are growing.

The goat still has to be purchased, but we should be doing that after a quick trip to Texas and Mexico soon. (Been meaning to get back down there for about 2 years now).

Also, we just bought our land a few weeks back and are getting ready to build in it!

@papa-pepper it's good to hear your homestead project is going well. We are in the El Paso Texas area now for a few days. If you happen to be in the area maybe we can grab a cup of coffee.

I'll let you know when we head that way.
