A Calm Day At Big Sur In Central California
Big Sur is known for it's rugged beaches, promoting large wild waves as they crash against the rocks. However, there are a few miles of beach, though still rocky, it is not as crazy and wild. This is a photo of one of the calm times. These times do not happen along too often. What a beautiful day In Big Sur!
Big Sur is several miles of coastline that stretches from Beautiful Carmel with it's perfect beaches to San Simeon. Most of this stretch of California coastline is wild and rugged, with boulders and cliffs that generate large wild waves.
As you are driving through this area of Central California, enjoy the beautiful views of the Santa Lucia mountains and of course the Pacific Ocean. Take your time on this slow road, as it is winding through these coastal mountains, seaside cliffs, and the view is amazing. In the early morning and evening, it is often very misty.
In this area, you will discover amazing state parks, hiking for all levels, awesome campgrounds, and of course it has spectacular beach-combing. If you are looking for an amazing adventure on the West Coast of the USA, then join in the fun, at Big Sur, in Central California.
