Photo of the Day ~ Digging For clams

in #travel7 years ago

Razor Clam digging on the Kenai Peninsula in Alaska

Clam digging is both delightful and easy. No pole to worry about, and no wait.  The Kenai Peninsula is a clam diggers heaven.  The best time of the year is from April till September, with the summer being the best time for table quality clams.

How nice to be able to live in such a quiet place. Where silence and the noise of the wind is what is most heard. Maybe I would miss the city a little, but I know that I would quickly get used to it.

Did this last summer! So fun digging and feeling them swimming away in the mud!

Lot's of clams here on Vancouver Island, too!
