Exploring New Mexico High Desert Mountains

in #travel7 years ago

About 60 miles before reaching Roswell New Mexico you are at 4,000 feet elevation in the high moutains. It still dry and the environment is a mix of desert and small juniper trees.

With great views and a dry mountain environment it's a unique experience.

Another view of the high desert on the opposite side of the road. Notice how dry it can be from just a short distance.

Absolutely love New Mexico. I spent a night and drove through on the way to Vegas and absolutely fell in love with the landscape. Met some great people too on my short stay. Absolutely beautiful part of the country. Would really like to return there one day maybe even possibly retire there. Great photos.

Yes, the New Mexico desert is absolutely magnificent. Always something new to see.

Yes the people are also very nice. Thank you @the-bitcoin-dood for your comment and support.

I've never been to New Mexico, but these pictures make me want to go even more.

That's great to hear @rangertx since that has been our goal to inspire others. Thank you very much for your continued support.

Post is complete and clear

Thank you @khairulmuammar

The New Mexico Desert is so dry, that the heat is bearable, but still hot enough. The people are friendly and there is a lot to see and do. Thanks for sharing.

It was really hot and dry but enjoyable.

There is one place called the Silver Dollar just inside the early mountains, and the people there are very helpful with finding interesting places to see in the area.
