At the request of our followers we have put this small picture and video guide together to give you a short introduction to Singapore. Our time in Singapore gave us the appeal of nature, and the usefulness of the city. Singapore is an island just off Malaysia, and has several major cultures that influence the island. Chinese, Malay, Indian, Euro-Asians and others have made Singapore a cultural mecca for food, and culture. The photo's are from our private collection, and the videos are from the Singapore tourist authority and others of good quality to give you a general understanding, and some highlights.

The contrast of old and new is very interesting, and give you the adventurer something new around the corner each hour of every day.

Singapore has extreme contrasts, and has accomplished the creation of a unique city state in a short period of time.

The Singapore zoo has a collection of animals that it try's to preserve and protect. The zoo is basically and conservation center, and has genetic samples that it protects from animals on the edge of extinction.

The plant life is of the hot tropical zone, and temps don't fluctuate much within the 24hr day. So HOT HOT and Hotter!

Nature is a big part of Singapore, and a matter of pride for the people, and government who try to keep this in balance and practical.

The Night Safari is one of the few nocturnal preservation projects in existence. You are taken on a evening ride through the park with animals free ranging within the dead of night.

Monkeys that are from this area are protected, and able to walk free within a certain zone in the islands animal parks.

Chili-crab Singapore style is one of our favorite dishes worldwide, and needs to be experienced with one of the many high quality night markets.
Flamingo Lake in Jurong Bird Park Singapore
Birds are everywhere on the island, and can been seen in the dedicated bird park to the migratory birds resting around the city.

The river safari is one of the newest attractions, and numerous fish species have been collected. This will allow you to get a region wide understanding of river wildlife from around Asia.

Interesting view of Singapore. Would love to see flamingos one day. I have heard that Singapore is a very expensive city as compared to other Asian cities. Thank you.
Yes @neikhrie it's a wonderful but expensive place.
Yes our average monthly expenditure for food and entertainment is one of the highest in the world or some say the most expensive country in the world. But it is still one of the most amazing cities you will ever encounter. Our rich culture and racial harmony amazes many who have had a chance to visit us. :)
