New York to Los Angeles Road Trip - Day 1
After living in New York for almost 13 days I decided to make the big move across the country to the Sunny State of California. Just when I started looking up airline tickets I met this amazing girl that was about to emerge on a two-week road trip from NY to LA and I thought, why not? It seemed a little crazy to go on a road trip with a total stranger but I believe in destiny and it seemed like all the starts aligned for us to meet and to take that trip together. It’s a risk that paid off, and one of the best decisions in my life. It’s been two weeks of amazing adventures, visiting the coolest places, constant laughs, meeting some great people and making a friend for life.
On December 8, 2014 we packed our bags into ‘Ferdinand’ our Volkswagen wagon and took off.
Making sure Ferdinand is ready to go.
And we’re ready to go…
Bye bye New York!!
The first couple stops were Washington, DC and Raleigh, NC. I’ve been in DC before so we just spent that time hanging out with friends. I also visited my best friend, Carolina, in Raleigh.
From there we kept on going south and ended up in Savannah, Georgia. It’s an amazing and magical city. It’s pretty small so you can see most of it on foot and weekend trip is just enough to explore it.
I really enjoyed it and hope to come back one day. Food’s amazing, and I had my first jambalaya, it’s the bomb.
Thank you Savannah. The next stop is Orange Beach, Alabama…see you in the next blog.
