THE GREEK POET :AGGELOS SIKELIANOS--FROM MY VISIT TO HIS LAST HOUSE
In this house in Salamina lived in the last 10 years of his life the Greek poet Angelos Sikelianos , with his second wife Anna Kampanari.(1933-1949)
Angelos Sikelianos (1884-1951) was a lyric poet, and was influenced by Homer, Plato, Aeschylus, and the Bible.
Τhe house is located on Faneromeni (Panagia) beach opposite Perama Piraeus.
In this part was one of the 10 windmills on the island.
Inside the house there are poems and objects of the poet.
The house of Sikelianos began to function as a museum, but it is now neglected and overwhelmed, both internally and externally.
Next to the house is the bust of Angelos Sikelianos.

Αggelos Sikelianos also lived in Lefkada, Delphous and in Sykes of Korinthos. His first wife was Eva Palmer.
Ηis main poet collections are:"The consciousness of my Earth", "The consciousness of my Race" , "Lyric Life"
During my visit to this house this house was closed and abandoned.
