The village Kichmengskiy Gorodok

Kichmengskiy Gorodok is a village in the Vologda region, a district center of the Kichmengsko-Gorodets district, adjacent to the Veliky Ustyugsky district where I live.

I used to go there very rarely, only for some cases. But who could have thought that from there I would have my future wife!

Okay, we're not talking about this, my task is not to talk about my personal life, but about traveling to Kich-Gorodok.

The population is approximately 6,400 people.

The village is located on the bank of the South River and at the mouth of the Kichmenga River.

In the small town there are 3 stone churches.

Two of them stand on the bank of the river Yug, next to a beautiful pond where ducks are swimming.

Also, the shopping arcade was preserved.

Judging by the inscription on the stone, the date of foundation of the Kichmeng Township - 1468.

The pond is small, but there is a beautiful birch grove surrounding it and even bridges with stairs are made.

It's nice to take a walk!

Still there is a beautiful park with a birch grove on the bank of the river Kichmenga.

You can go to the place of the confluence of Kichmenga to the South.

The water is clear and cold. Even in the middle of summer.

There are 3 bridges in Gorodok. One through the South, two through Kichmenga.
