The Dymkovo Settlement

Everyone who visited Veliky Ustyug on the embankment could see a village and two churches on the opposite shore. This is Dymkovskaya Sloboda (Dymkovo Settlement).

The village of Dymkovo and the village of Dobrinino belong to the urban settlement of Veliky Ustyug.

The churches of Dmitry Solunsky and Sergius of Radonezh were built in the middle of the 18th century.

A classic view of the embankment of the city opens exactly from the Dymkovo settlement. Here almost every wedding comes to be photographed.

There are also ancient stone gates here.

It seems to me, or just want to think so, that city planners at that time specially thought through beautiful views.

Temples of the Dymkovo settlement can be seen from almost any point of the city or river, and the city itself can be seen from anywhere in the Dymkovo settlement!

It's amazing that in the winter the sunset right over Dymkovo, if you look from the other shore.

And in the summer, sunrise just over the city of Veliky Ustyug, if you look from Dymkovo.
