My favorite forest
Each mushroom picker has its own secret places where a lot of mushrooms grow or some kind of a certain one of them. I love mushrooms, respectively, I also have such a place. I do not consider myself an avid mushroom picker, but I am well versed in them. And so, back to the place. This forest is located near the city near the industrial area. Locals call this place "dead ends". There are mainly wood processing enterprises, which several years ago fell into decay. Here timber was loaded into wagons, but rail transportation became unprofitable and everything was covered up. Some individual enterprises are still functioning, but the former scale is no longer there.
The forest in this area is diverse: in places there is a boron, in some places a birch forest, and there is also a swamp. Due to such a diversity of vegetation, there are many different berries (blackberries, blueberries, lingonberries, cranberries), and almost all types of mushrooms grow (from milk mushrooms to ceps and chanterelles). How not to love such a forest!
In this forest it is convenient to navigate - all places are divided by sectors. Milk mushrooms grows in one place, in the other - boletus and white, in the third you can find a orange-cap boletus.
The forest area is small, so there are no wild animals and it is almost impossible to get lost. And also there are no moose fleas.
As with most forest land, this is marked by clearings.
For the collection of mushrooms and berries, I use only a small part of the entire area of this forest.
I do not know well the whole territory of the forest, but what I know is enough.
This year, our region had a record cold and rainy summer, so this year very few mushrooms have grown.
Therefore, I attach the photo with mushrooms only from previous years.
I probably don’t remember such a year that there were so few mushrooms.
And this forest is good for photographing, again because of the diversity of vegetation.
This place is not very popular among mushroom pickers, so finding something in the forest is more likely.
I go to other places for mushrooms, but at least once a year I go to my favorite forest.

That is a pretty forest! Mushrooms are one of the real wonders of the world. I hope your mushroom season gets better.
