Classic views of Veliky Ustyug

What is meant by classic views? For me, these are the most common types of city views that people take pictures of. And the classics of the species should be not only widespread, affordable, but also beautiful.

The most common places for shooting the Veliky Ustyug are the Cathedral Courtyard from the opposite bank of the Sukhona River, the Embankment of the city from the Sukhonsky Field and from any other point. And now I will tell you more about my favorite points.

Point number one. The Sukhonsky field offers a gorgeous view of the Cathedral courtyard. The peculiarity of this species is that the church of Elijah the Prophet adjoins the temple complex. These intersection angles can be varied as you like: you can impose one church on the other. A telephoto lens is required for this shooting point.

Point number two. View of the Cathedral courtyard from the opposite bank of the Sukhona River from the very end of the village of Dymkovo. The peculiarity of the view is that on the side you can see the domes of all the cathedrals and the bell tower of the Assumption Cathedral. And if you shoot directly from the center of the Dymkovo settlement, the bell tower is not visible.

Point number three as an example. The case when, due to the direct central point of shooting, the bell tower is hiding behind the domes of the main cathedral.

Point number four. View of the temple complex and the city Embankment from the church of Simeon the Stylite. The peculiarity of the view is that you can see all the main temples on the promenade and the turn of the river is visible.

Point number five. Almost the same view, only more close-up. Such a view can be made from any place, starting from the river station, ending with the edge of the city.
