Aristovo

Aristovo is a village in the Veliky Ustyug district, is the center of the Shemogodsky rural settlement. The village is located on the high bank of the Northern Dvina River, opposite to the district center of the Veliky Ustyug.
Car service only ferry in the summer through the village of Kuzino and in the winter on an ice crossing, also through this village.

In 1894, merchant Nikolay Kostrov founded a manor on a high bank.
This house is now in a dilapidated state, but still preserved to this day.

In Aristovo there is a large brick school, a kindergarten, but there is no production. People here are engaged in agriculture, animal husbandry - there are several cattle yards. In ancient times, this area was famous for wood carving, bark, as well as craftsmen. In the next village there was a furniture factory.

The number of inhabitants in Aristovo decreases every year. Apartment buildings are becoming sparsely populated.

There are a lot of windows in the houses, by which it can be judged that there is no life in the apartments.

There are no asphalt streets in the village.

The streets are wide enough, some of them have birch alleys with walking paths.

The most dilapidated and abandoned house - only one of all apartments is residential.

Nevertheless, the entrance to the house is cleaned of snow.

There is one tenement wooden house with balconies.

It stands apart from the others on the edge of the ravine.

There is also an abandoned public bath.

The remaining houses are inhabited by 30%. The courtyards are quiet, peaceful, cozy, clean... but a bit creepy, as there are no people on the streets. And lifeless windows in homes add horror.

By the door at the entrance you can be said that do not go inside often.

Oh, the car! And I thought they were not there at all.
