Abandoned settlement
This abandoned settlement is called Gorodische. It is located in the center of Veliky Ustyug. Previously, people lived there, but now it remains only a church and all overgrown with trees.

A very beautiful photo. It looks like such a peaceful place to be. There must have been quite a number of people living there at one time as the church is quite big.

I would enjoy seeing more of the abandoned settlement. Did the people leave because of a disaster, or did the community just move on?
just people died and houses collapsed, and new houses are forbidden to build..
