TRIP TO SPAIN #STORYTIME
Hi ♥ I decided to tell you this because it's something important that happened a few months ago. I hope you enjoy it and take some caution If you're traveling (Especially Latin American like me)
In March of last year I traveled to Spain because I have european nationality and the situation in Venezuela wasn't good (not good yet). Then I had less than a year with my boyfriend and my family had paid my airplane ticket, I can't lie, like other Venezuelans have gone I felt sad and happy at the same time because I had the oppoturnity to grow up and become independent.
I was eight months in Spain, in the seventh month when I had a stable job and had money saved I bought a ticket to my boyfriend (but he doesn't have european nationality). He only had two options to enter to Spain:
1) Hotel reservation
2) Invitation Letter (80 euros)
The invitation letter must be requested one month before the flight (in Madrid) so, we decided to make a Hotel reservation. Everything was fine, the day he was to arrive I had asked for permission in my work, I was very nervous because I had been eight months without seeing him.
His flight arrived at 10 am and I arrived at the airport thirty minutes earlier to surprise him and be the first person that he saw. At the airport announced that their flight had arrived and my legs were shaking.
A few hours passed and he didn't show up. I was afraid and I had a phone call from the airport, yes, it was him...
THEY DIDN'T LET HIM IN!
My heart just broke... I can't describe the pain that gave me to know that he would be returned to Venezuela, that the effort of a long time had been in vain, I felt stupid and useless.
Fortunaly, I was with my sister and I had decided and decided that I would take a flight to Venezuela to be with him.
BUT...They had him THREE days in the airport of Spain as if he were a delinquent, they had him in an area where he didn't have any of his things (phone, pc, clothes, etc ...) the only thing he could do was call me from an "unknow" phone.
Now we are happy and we have other plans♥
So, my advice is... If you want to travel to Spain and you're Latin American (Especially Venezuelan) ask for an invitation letter and do all things on time.
If you want more STORY TIME just comment♥
I'm very happy for you that your story had a happy ending :) :) Kayleigh
