Dunne & Crescenzi Dublin
These last few weeks there has been Italian food everywhere I turn.
On Steemit
- @freewords.italy was posting about food in Florence
Eat and drink near Florence #italianfood - @silviabeneforti was posting about Florence
walking in my city - @noemilunastorta was posting about travel in Tuscany
Tuscany, a little paradise. My last summer trip part #1 : Tripping around San vincenzo.
On TV
- Goodfellas was on over the weekend
- The Medicis on Netflix has been gripping
I admit not all about food but they certainly got me looking for my fix. Last Sunday I could not take it anymore.
Dunne & Crescenzi
In Dublin there are many Italian restaurants and some are great but my favourite is this one in the city centre, on Fredrick Street a small alley way just off Nassau Street. If your visiting the Irish capital check this place out.
Great Wine Cellar
Wines from every region in Italy
Authentic
You know it's authentic when you cant understand the menu. The waiters, all of whom speak with an Italian Accent, are extremely helpful and friendly. The atmosphere is really warm and welcoming.
Not Just Pizza and Pasta
In fact they don't serve Pizza at all, they specialise in cheese and cured meats. There is even a shop next door where you can buy some produce to take home.
Full of Flavour
A picture may paint a thousand words but it can't possibly do this dish justice.
Decisions Decisions Decisions
The Traditional Bolognese
Or One of the Specials
Not usually on the Menu but the Lasagne is amazing. I always ask for this.
The Medicis
The extensive wine list has a great selection from all regions of Italy. This one caught my eye. I wonder whats going to happen to in Season 2 of the Medicis.
Save room for Desert
The home made deserts are show stoppers.
Consistently Great
I have been coming here for years and every time the food is top quality and the service is great, the waiters are very friendly and helpful. Ring ahead to book as it gets busy in the evening.
Thank you for reading this. I write on Steemit about Blockchain, Cryptocurrency, Travel and lots of random topics.
All Images are from my personal library.
I would love to actually go to Italy and try the food there. Nice post @eroche
Thanks @Mallorcaman. Good to see you.
I would happily spend a month eating my way across Italy :)
@eroche But there is nothing in the kitchen of my Sardinia ...!
It might be too much to generalise Italian food. I know there are so many different regions, but in my experience its all great.
I'll definitely have to try out Sardinian food. I can't wait.
Indeed in Italy the regional kitchens are so many and all very good!
Whats your favourite food region (Sardinia probably) and dish?
I like it all ... but I do not like spicy cooking!
For me it's all good :)
I especially love good Italian bread and pasta.
I have always wanted to try Italian cuisines but haven't tried yet. The pictures just made me drool. :D
There was a dish of Bruchetta with the most wonderful colour tomatoes I didn't get a photo but it makes me hungry just thinking about it :)
You can do that next time. Hope you had a great time. :)
