Farm Sunset

in #travel7 years ago

At home in New York it is cold. Here it is warm and sunny. Actually at night it's a little nippy here and a little windy but it's still great. The forecast is saying that when we return we will be greeted by a very chilly drop in temperature. Even colder than it has been in New York lately.

Mind wandering. Wouldn’t it be funny if we invented a coin called “temperature coin” whose value is pegged to the temperature in New York in Kelvins (cannot go below 0)? Unpredictable, yet comforting knowing it can only sit between a certain range.

Mind wandering again. And then another coin called “negative coin” whose value is negative. You have to pay someone to take ownership of it. Oh wait that already exists: the time share.

But anyway, what was I saying? Right, it’s warm. A couple days ago we were blessed by the setting sun, and it was gorgeous.

And the place very devoid of tourists too. Went through some fun dirt roads to get here. Where is here? It’s a local farm that runs a restaurant also. We even got to meet the owner of the place and he said coming here was already a not tourist thing to do. We like that. Also gave us a quicker dirt road directions back to town. And a few more local recommendations. Rolling like a local!

This would end up being a rare sunset for the trip. Most of the other days were just too cloudy to get such a view. Blessed, indeed.

How beautiful. I miss NY so much, and this does look so much more what I'm looking for in life, which is why I moved out of NYC three years ago. What a beautiful farm you found. Hope you are enjoying it. Happy Holidays!

I almost got a timeshare in Greece once, but thankfully changed my mind at the last minute. I definitely prefer the off the beaten track, non-touristy places too. No itinerary, just where the fancy takes you.

It's pretty scary too. Their tactics are very persuasive. Flexibility is great but time share is not something that gives you that, even though they advertise it as such.

Ha, a temperature coin... everyone will be analyzing the weather patterns to see if they should buy or sell! Beautiful sunset photo. Stunning! @ironshield

Wow, what a great sunset. Looks like an amazing place. So many palm trees, it isn't in NY, right? Looks amazing. Cold in NY sounds nice. My friends just spent a few days in NY and it looked like a lot of fun to be in the snow. Just wind and sunshine here. ;)

In Cabo Mexico. Yeah don't get me wrong, I do like New York too. Sometimes it's good to escape the cold though :)

Ah yes, the palm trees didn't look very much like NY! Cabo makes much more sense. Beautiful place.

Those coin ideas are hilarious Eon. Nice picture, enjoy the rest of your vacation and good job that you still post even tho you are away from home!

I just love this beautiful sunset picture, @eonwarped! What a wonderful gift it was to you. The coins ideas are pretty funny.

I've upvoted and resteemed this article to pass the beauty around a bit more! I found the link to this article on #unmentionables.
